It all starts here, we're two transportation design students with an appetite for vehicles with a soul. We chose the porsche 912 due to its background; with the heart of a 356 it has the same body as the 911. The car was designed to create an affordable porsche for the people, a car which sports enthusiasts would be able to enjoy at a lower cost... little did the engineers at porsche know the 912 would be a hit, having a better weight distribution than the 911, the 912 is quickly becoming a collectors must have. We called the car Narnia because we love the concept of opening a door and going into a wardrobe which changes the reality around you, this is how we feel inside the 912 and we hope to change the car's reality by restoring it to perfection.
July 6th 2013,
Today we went and saw Narnia for the first time, we inspected all of the details that needed fixing and had a thorough talk about how we would handle everything, we got home opened a shared account, and budgeted our project estimate. Within a few hours we called the previous owner and told him we'd take it, but we'd need to test drive it first.

July 9th 2013,
Today was the day we finally got to drive Narnia, the previous owner drove us around first and familiarized us with the gearbox and how to handle it. I soon got control of the 912 and it was amazing, it needed new bushings for it will only shift up to third so we made it part of the purchase agreement for this to be fixed before we made it ours. Even with this imperfection the car felt amazing smooth yet stable suspension, awesome responsiveness, and unconceivable power for a car with work ahead of it.
So we headed back to the previous owner's place, signed the documents and Narnia was ours, she wouldn't be able to go home with us that day, the owner took her to the shop immediately to get gearbox sorted, so it was just a matter of waiting but the car was ours.

Narnia is finally ready, and unfortunately we both had class so we couldn't pick her up this day, but tomorrow is a big day and we're getting rest so we can enjoy the drive back home at the fullest.

July 20th 2013, (first drive home)
Today we met with the previous owner and the car was fully handed to us, the drive back home was as exciting as could be, the windows didn't go down and we found a couple more imperfections that need to be fixed but the car becomes more genuine and authentic the more time we spend with it. We got home and went to get some frozen yogurt, then we talked about what needed to be done carefully and planning became more thorough. Impatient as I am, I couldn't wait to get started on the project, so that same night I started disassembling the door panels, no light, no proper tools, but with an unstoppable eagerness to start.

July 21st 2013, (getting our garage well equipped)
As we encountered many restrictions yesterday, we have finally got ourself a nice "starting kit" to work on Narnia, we got a tool kit, axel stands, a hydraulic jack, some extremely strong lights, and a couple other gadgets to make our life's easier. It's all coming along slowly but we're excited.

After setting up the light and some of the workspace last night I can only think of what the 912 will be like once its fully restored, exciting times ahead.
